On the occasion of the solo exhibition 'Catasterism' at Kasteel Wijlre estate, artist Giorgio Andreotta Calò and exhibition curator Xander Karskens will present the project at the Jan Van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, in conversation with the curator & Resident Liaison Bruno Alves de Almeida and the artists participating in the residency programme.

Opening of Elspeth Diederix’s Cutting Garden

On Saturday 21 June, Midsummer’s Day, Kasteel Wijlre estate will open Elspeth Diederix’s cutting garden 'Equisetum'. At 13:00, this green artwork will be festively presented in the presence of the artist.

Art Walk & Talk – guided tour in German through exhibitions and garden

The Art Walk & Talk is our monthly introductory tour for all ages, led by one of our volunteers. During this informal walk across the estate, you will receive background information on the current exhibitions and learn more about how Kasteel Wijlre estate brings together contemporary art and nature.

The tour is conducted in German.

Participation is free with a valid admission ticket.
