Janssen is an artist and writer and makes exhibitions. He is enormously versatile and inspiring: he makes beautiful works, we enjoy his blogs about other artists’ work, and he co-founded a fashion brand. Janssen experiments with paint and form. For example, in earlier works, he did not use a brush to apply paint to the canvas; instead, he dried the paint in order to attach it, like a rag, to the canvas with a magnet. Janssen’s intriguing work for this auction also features dried paint and demonstrates his mastery of form and colour.
