MISSION AND VISION
Kasteel Wijlre estate is an institution for contemporary art and nature, situated in the green surroundings of the South Limburg hills. The estate presents an extensive programme of exhibitions and public activities, aimed at a broad audience; an extensive education and participation programme reaches out to audiences with a distance to culture. Kasteel Wijlre estate distinguishes itself through its unique combination of contemporary art, heritage and modern architecture, connected by the greenery of its gardens, park and the surrounding landscape. In addition to the combined nature and art experience, hospitality, accessibility and quality are important institutional values. The natural connection between the specific characteristics of the location itself and the artistic programme gives Kasteel Wijlre estate a unique position in the regional, Euregional and (inter)national cultural infrastructure.
