Objectives

  • The management and operation of the ‘Kasteel Wijlre’ estate and thereby conserve the ‘Gesamtkunstwerk Kasteel Wijlre’.
  • The direct or indirect acquisition of the shares of the private company with limited liability.
  • The development and presentation of contemporary culture in Limburg, the Netherlands, and the Euroregion.

Board structure:
The executive director leads the Kasteel Wijlre Estate Foundation. The foundation has a Supervisory Board whose task is to oversee the director, the policy of the foundation, and the general affairs of the foundation and its affiliated organisations. The Supervisory Board advises the director.

Remuneration policy:
Subject to applicable laws and regulations, the Supervisory Board determines the managing director’s salary and working conditions. Supervisory Board members receive no reward for the performance of their duties.
Expenses incurred by members in the exercise of their duties are claimed and reimbursed.
