Your purchase will help the estate become the meeting place that connects art, nature, architecture, and heritage again.

Struycken, Gé-karel van der Sterren, Ger van Elk, David Bade, André de Jong, Stephen Wilks, Toon Verhoef, Milah van Zuilen, Joris Vanpoucke, Petrovsky & Ramone, Wieteke Heldens, Oscar Lourens, Ien Lucas , Koen van den Broek, Phoebe Pryor, Klaas Kloosterboer, Twan Janssen, Andrea Radai, Johan Tahon, Pieter W. Postma, Chaim van Luit.

We were delighted to reopen after the mandatory corona lockdown. But how our hearts sank when we were hit by the severe floods three weeks later. Within hours of the Geul bursting its banks, the park and Hedge House art pavilion were deluged with water. The damage to the art pavilion is extensive, and the ‘Spirit of Kindergarten’ exhibition will not return to the Hedge House due to lengthy renovations. The estate’s park has also suffered considerable damage. As a result, the Hedge House will again be unable to receive visitors for a long time and we will miss out on much-needed public income for a year.

Thanks to all the artists and the galleries Gerhard Hofland, Fons Welters, Borzo, Torch Gallery, The Merchant House, Ron Mandos, Andriesse-Eyck, De Expeditie, Ellen de Bruijne Projects, galerie Onrust en Tegenboschvanvreden.

The online benefit auction will take place from 20 to 26 September 2021 at www.kasteelwijre.nl

The Kasteel Wijlre estate foundation is responsible for the operation, cultural programming of exhibitions, educational projects, and the garden maintenance of the Gesamtkunstwerk. Our vision is to connect people, art, nature, architecture and heritage.
