For his exhibition Windbloom, artist Daniel Godínez Nivón was inspired by, among other things, the dreams of birds and invites us on a journey through fictional plant and flower species. Within the context of Windbloom, the artist has produced a publication in collaboration with Manifold Books and Good Neighbour in Amsterdam. The publication consists of an object related to Nívon's collective dreaming practice, and the essay The Minga of Birds at Dawn by Andrés Gonzalez, on the speculative intersection of ecological thinking, midwifery, and oneiric imagination. On May 28 at 3 pm, Kasteel Wijlre estate will launch this special edition, with a conversation between Xander Karskens (director of Kasteel Wijlre estate and curator of Windbloom), Maartje Fliervoet (visual artist and initiator/curator Manifold Books) and Daniel Godínez Nivón, about his artistic practice. Subsequently, the bird walk 'In search of the Marsh Warbler' will take place at 4 pm, led by Peter Alblas (CNME Maastricht). Participation is free with a valid admission ticket.
