Family Tree – Contemporary Chinese Art from the Sigg Collection was the first time Chinese art is shown at Kasteel Wijlre estate. The exhibition was a selection from Uli Sigg’s – the Swiss entrepreneur, diplomat and art collector – unique collection of contemporary Chinese art. As a businessman and ambassador, Uli Sigg had an impact on the shift in China’s post-Mao economic policy. He also amassed one of the world’s most significant collections of contemporary Chinese art.
This exhibition was realised in collaboration with the Bonnefanten Museum.
